Conference Report: 2017 International Conference on Matrix Inequalities & Matrix Equations

      The 2017 International Conference on Matrix Inequalities and Matrix Equations (MIME2017) took place on June 6-8, 2017 at New Lehu Hotel of Shanghai University. This is the third serial conference hosted at Shanghai University. More than a hundred faculty members and graduate students from Belarus, Canada, Japan, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, the USA and mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan attended the conference. The conference was sponsored by Shanghai University, the International Research Center for Tensor and Matrix Theory (IRCTMT) and Gaoyuan Discipline of Shanghai.

      The conference has attracted a few leading experts of the area to share their exciting research. Notable participants include Natalia Bebiano (University of Coimbra), Man-Duen Choi (FRSC, University of Toronto), Muddappa Seetharama Gowda (University of Maryland), Frank Hansen (Tohoku University), Hiroyuki Osaka (Ritsumeikan University), Yiu-Tung Poon (Iowa State University), Frank Uhlig(Auburn University), Pei Yuan Wu (Taiwan Chiao Tung University), to name a only few.       The next MIME conference will be held at Shanghai University in June, 2018 (exact date to be announced), we expect to see you then.
